Welcome to the official website of the City of La Crosse!


We are a city of 51,800, situated on a sandy prairie between towering bluffs and coulees alongside the Mississippi River.

It's an exciting time to be a part of La Crosse! While La Crosse is 150 years young, we continue to grow. Economic growth is our top priority, creating job opportunities, housing and tax base. In 2007 alone, La Crosse experienced over 50 million dollars of new construction growth.

 The La Crosse Concert Band will perform in Riverside Park, Wednesday, July 23 at 7:30PM. This free concert entitled "Musical Jewels of July" will be conducted by Alex Vaver and feature a children's march during the performance. More details...

The American Queen Steamboat will make a shore stop at the levee in Riverside Park on Thursday, July 24, from 1:00-5:00PM. Enjoy a day in the park with entertainment by the Grand River Singers. Times are subject to change. More details...
