Alternate Side Parking
Between 1:00AM and 6:00AM from November 1, 2010 to April 1, 2011, vehicles shall be parked only on even numbered sides of the street on those nights when an even calendar date (after midnight), and on odd numbered sides of the street on those nights with an odd calendar date (after midnight), except where parking is normally permitted only on one side of the street, vehicles may be parked on that permitted side every night.
A $10.00 parking ticket is issued to vehicles not in compliance with the alternate side parking ordinance. If the $10.00 fine is not paid within 10 days, the fine increases to $20.00. If the $20.00 fine is not paid within 45 days from the issuance of the ticket, the fine increases to $40.00. Failure to pay the fine will result in the State of Wisconsin suspending the vehicle’s registration.
During the winter, it is important to keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice. Ordinance 5.08 mandates that it is the duty of the owners to clear sidewalks in front of their houses or businesses within 24 hours after snow has ceased to fall. Failure to do so will result in a fine.
