Kevin and Patsy Alderson are step-on tour guides. Kevin is a local historian, a retired teacher, and coach. Patsy is a local artist. They have also written two books, “Barns Without Corners - Round Barns of Vernon County, Wisconsin” and “Letters Home to Sarah”, Civil War letters written by Guy C. Taylor. They provide various tours and presentations about several subjects. Kevin and Patsy are well known and respected throughout the Amish community. They will lead this tour of the rural Cashton Amish settlement, which was established in the mid 1960’s. It is the largest Amish community in Wisconsin. The tour consists of information regarding the history, cultural, and religious beliefs of the Amish. In addition, stop at several Amish businesses which produce quilts, rugs, wood working items, buggies, baked goods, candy, and more. We will visit Old Country Cheese, which is often referred to as the Amish Cheese Factory. Return to La Crosse at approximately 5:00pm. *Bus Pick-Up: SSNC @ 12:00pm
