The first stop will be the Mill City Museum, built within the ruins of the Washburn A Mill, the flagship mill of the Washburn-Crosby Co. (later General Mills).
It was the largest and most technologically advanced flour mill in the world when it was completed in 1880.  The Washburn A Mill Complex is a National Historic Landmark.
After lunch, take a tour of the James J. Hill House.  Explore upstairs and downstairs life in Minnesota's Downtown Abbey - a 36,000 square foot mansion built for railroad titan James J. Hill.
Marvel at the impressive house details such as chandeliers, stained glass, and hand-carved woodwork sprawled throughout the home.
Lunch is on your own at Cossetta’s Eatery & Pizzeria, a St. Paul institution.
Return to La Crosse at approximately 7:00pm.
