Begin with a guided tour of parts of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, a place like no other with sandstone outcroppings that tower over the Kickapoo River while native plants and animals abound in all seasons. After visiting the reserve, you will have an opportunity to explore downtown Viroqua before you head to the Driftless Book store where Eddy Nix, owner, will share the history and uniqueness of the store. The building, which was originally built in 1906 as a tobacco warehouse and hosts half a million books. Lunch is on your own in downtown Viroqua. Return to La Crosse at approximately 4:30pm.
