This adult educational program provides a definition of Infant Mental Health and how children's social and emotional development grows within the context of the relationship. Participants will gain knowledge of the brain development of the child, defining social emotional development, key relationship building that needs to occur between caregiver and child, as well as learn about the caregiver emotion regulation cycle to be able to best attune to the child's needs. Discussion of toxic stress, trauma, and positive stress will be integrated throughout with regards to the cultural context of the family.
