Apply for a Variance
Applications shall be reviewed by a building inspector and filed with the City Clerk, on forms provided by the City.
Appeals are to be filed and fees paid to the City Clerk no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting.
Regular meetings and hearings of the Board shall be held on the third Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall and shall be open to the public.
Filing Fee
$300 is due at the time of application (cash, check payable to City Treasurer or credit card with a convenience fee).
Notification
All owners of record within a 300-foot radius are notified of the application.
Any person interested may appear at public hearings either in person, by agent, or by attorney, and may express their approval or objection, or file a letter in the office of the City Clerk. Written comments are encouraged to be submit in writing prior to the meeting and should be submitted to cityclerk@cityoflacrosse.org, dropped in a drop box outside of City Hall, delivered to the City Clerk workstation in the lobby of City Hall, or mailed to the City Clerk, 400 La Crosse Street, La Crosse WI 54601.
