Businesses that wish to place a sign on the sidewalk or boulevard in front of their establishment may apply for a Sidewalk/Boulevard Sign Permit. Standards for Sidewalk Signs have been set forth by the Board of Public Works. If compliance with these preset standards cannot be met the applicant must go before the Board of Public Works for approval. Various size and style requirements must be met as well as location limitations and insurance requirements.
