La Crosse is now one of only 500 existing cities in America that has a designated dog park area!  To continue this park area, owners must be responsible and utilize the following rules: 

• Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-leash areas.
• Dogs must stay within the designated areas.
• All litter must be picked up and deposited in designated containers.

Designated Dog Park Area
The Houska Dog Park is a 5-acre, fenced dog park on the east side of Houska Park (map).  Amenities include drinking fountains, restrooms, adequate parking, and doggie bag dispensers.

The large dog park is scheduled to open by Memorial Day, 2021. The smaller dog park in the Northwest corner of the park is still open to the public.
