Downtown Mainstreet Incorporated
Downtown Mainstreet Incorporated (DMI) was created in 1990 to oversee, coordinate and facilitate the revitalization of La Crosse’s central business district. DMI is a private, non-profit organization founded by businesses and financial institutions to help restore the downtown district’s role as the center of the Coulee Region.

Small Business Development Center @ UW-La Crosse
The SBDC at UWL is part of a statewide network of SBDCs working with business owners and entrepreneurs to facilitate business growth and improvement, and to launch successful new companies. Through no-cost consulting, low-cost entrepreneurial education, and strategic facilitation, SBDC experts serve as resources for small and emerging mid-size companies.

Couleecap has a Job and Business Development program that helps aspiring business owners turn their business idea into a reality. They can help with developing a strong business model, writing a business plan, and learning necessary business skills.
WWBIC
Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) assists individuals who are interested in starting, strengthening or expanding businesses by providing direct lending, quality business and financial capability education and one-on-one technical business assistance. Services are open to anyone but WWBIC’s focus is women, people of color and people of lower wealth – those most likely to face barriers in accessing financing or educational support.

The La Crosse Area Development Corporation (LADCO) facilitates and promotes economic advancement in the Greater La Crosse Area through a “triad of development”: the attraction of industry, the retention of business and industry, and the support of the Coulee Region Business Center (CRBC).
CRBC
The Coulee Region Business Center (CRBC) accommodates new or expanding businesses in the Coulee Region by offering reduced overhead costs and below-market lease rates while providing professional assistance and access to local resources. The CRBC is a full-service mixed-use incubator for new and emerging entrepreneurial companies, offering member businesses affordable space, support tools, resources and guidance to strengthen their business success and graduation into the community.

La Crosse Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau

This non-profit organization represents the convention and tourism industries of the La Crosse/Campbell Area business community, actively marketing the area to tourists and event-planners both nationally and internationally.
La Crosse Area Planning Committee
The La Crosse Area Planning Committee (LAPC) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization designated to perform transportation planning activities for the La Crosse and La Crescent Area. The main objectives of the LAPC are to develop and maintain a long-range Metropolitan Transportation Plan and a short-range Transportation Improvement Program, and other regionally significant projects.
