Meeting Information

The public is welcome and invited to attend the regular monthly meetings of the Washburn Neighborhood Association. Unless noted, regular meetings are the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.

Winter location: American Legion, 711 6th St S, La Crosse, WI 54601

Summer location (with favorable weather): Washburn Gardens, 924 Division St, La Crosse, WI 54601 

Neighborhood Profile

Neighborhood Boundaries:

West Avenue (east boundary), Jackson Street (south boundary), Mississippi River (west boundary), Cass Street from the Mississippi River to 7th St; Main Street from 7th St to West Avenue (north boundary).

Annual Neighborhood Cleanup, Earth Day, National Night Out, Complete Streets.

Neighborhood Description:

Mix of home-owner, absentee landlord-owned, student rental and low-income. We are focused on keeping a solid base of homes (home owner or responsible landlord) in a safe and stable neighborhood.

Volunteering in the Neighborhood:

Washburn Neighborhood Association manages the Washburn Gardens, Main Library Gardens, and Firefighters Credit Union Garden in addition to having a little free food pantry at Lincoln Middle School.
