All corporations/organizations or limited liability companies applying or holding a license to sell fermented malt beverages and/or intoxicating liquor must appoint an agent. A person serving as agent must be at least 21 years of age, reside within the State of Wisconsin (for at least 90 days) and reside within 25 miles of the City of La Crosse (for at least 30 days).

The City Clerk's Office must be notified of any change to a license within fifteen (15) days.

License Fee

The non-refundable license fee of $10.00 is due at the time of application (cash, check payable to City Treasurer or credit with convenience fee).

How to Apply

Applications for a change in agent shall be received at least fifteen (15) days prior to being submitted to the Common Council which meets the second Thursday of each month. The application is reviewed by the Judiciary and Administration Committee, which makes its recommendation to the Council and subject to review by the Police Department.

An "Individual Questionnaire" (Form AB-100) must be completed by the person who will be appointed agent.
