No person shall operate any roller rink, theater, vaudeville moving picture or other entertainment without having first obtained a license therefore. This section shall not apply to lectures, concerts, or other entertainments or amusements given by any religious, educational, charitable or benevolent association. See Ch. 10, Art. VII of the Municipal Code of Ordinances for more information.

License Period

The license year shall be from July 1 to June 30 the following year and may be renewed for additional periods of one year.

License Fee

$110.00 is due at the time of application (cash, check payable to City Treasurer or credit with convenience fee).

How to Apply

Applications shall be made in writing on the form prescribed by law and filed with the City Clerk's Office who may issue the same after appropriate review by the La Crosse County Health Department, Police Department and Fire Prevention and Building Safety Bureau, and approval by the Common Council. All applications must be filed with the City Clerk not less than 15 days prior to the granting of this license.
