To claim a bicycle, you must have a copy of your previously submitted police report or proof of ownership. In many cases, you can fill out this report online following these guidelines:
- If your bike is stolen and is valued under $2,500, you can Submit a Police Report online.
- If your bike is stolen and is valued over $2,500, call our non-emergency police line at (608) 782-7575, or come to the Police Department to speak with an Officer.
Also, City of La Crosse Ordinance 44-222 requires that bicycles ridden in the City of La Crosse must be registered and licensed. Registration is FREE, and you can register your bicycle online or at the Police Department. You will need the make, model, serial number and color of the bicycle.
